Carl Michael von Hausswolff on the pieces: “‘Conductor’ might be my favorite composition and ‘Life and Death of Pboc’ might be my most sincere. ‘Conductor’ was my first composed piece with no obvious reference points . . . ‘Life and Death of Pboc’ was the second.
